Andrea Susanne Heinisch, a German National, was born in Wuerzburg in 1958 and specialises in paintings on wood and frescoes.
She moved to Florence in 1980 to work in the famous Palazzo Pitti Studio with a group of well-known professionals such as Leonetto Tintori, Andrea Rothe and Giuseppe Rosi.
Together with these and other colleagues, she participated in the restoration of numerous frescoes including “La Maestà” by Simone Martini (Siena), “Il Buon Governo” by Ambrogio Lorenzetti (Siena), the monumental apartment of the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, the Sodoma cycle in Monte Oliveto Maggiore, Barna’s “New Testament” cycle of frescoes in San Gimignano and Benozzo Gozzoli's cycle of frescoes in the Sant’Agostino church presbytery in San Gimignano.
In 1993, she moved to Montespertoli where she still lives in Le Spugne in the Botte valley with her husband, Gianni Baggi, and their son, Nicolas.
Andrea is still painting and selling reproductions of works by the great artists of the past in the international market (details of frescoes) created using ancient painting techniques.
